This book was UNREAL! So addictive, could not put it down. It was my first book to read by James Patterson, and wont be the last.

The main character is Hannah Dory, who is 18 years old, and lives in two timelines!! She’s called Blackbird, a starving, poor village girl living in 1347, trying to save her family and in the meantime she’s patient in Belman Psych, diagnosed with schizophrenia.

This book is so detailed especially when Hannah is living in her past time line. It had you thinking is she actually time travelling? Is she telling the truth?

She is found in Times Square in hysterics searching for her sister Mary, who she always refers to as well as her mother in her past time line, while making a fuss and attacking police officers and paramedics who are trying to put her in the ambulance. She is then admitted into a psych ward - again.

She was a child when first admitted into the psych ward. Everyone is trying so hard to grasp what is causing Hannah to be having these meltdowns. This book discusses mental health problems, mental illness and suicide.

I was constantly engaged while reading and could not put it down. This book deserves all 5 stars - excellent read!
